The Black Hawk may also be used for training exercises and disaster relief missions.

Because of its maneuverability, and its ability to evade detection, the Little Bird is an ideal tool for short-range reconnaissance missions and light combat support.

The Little Bird can be equipped with 7.62mm miniguns, 70mm rocket pods, .50-caliber machine guns, or Hellfire air-to-ground missiles. The helicopter can also be equipped with radar jammers and radar warning receivers.
