Hi, I'm Drill Sergeant McCargo. I'm from Fayetteville, North Carolina and I'm a drill sergeant currently at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. Today I'm answering a question from Veronica from Orlando; "Has there been any cases of recruits not being able to make it through basic training? If yes, what are the common reason for this?"

Most common reasons are prior injuries before basic training. There are some Soldiers who do not make it through basic training. Mostly are those that have injuries prior to coming to basic training. So it's very important before you come to basic that you are physically fit and that you know your body, report all injuries to the recruiter. That's the most common reason why Solders do not make it through basic training.
