This is Private Richard Vasquez from Fort Worth, Texas and Gerald from Bettendorf, Iowa has a question; "How was the first week of basic training and do you have to 100 push-ups and 50-100 pull-ups in the Army?"

Well Gerald to answer your question, the first week of basic training is very intimidating, high speed and tiring, pretty much the complete opposite of a summer vacation.

And to answer the second part of your question, no you do not have to do 100 push-ups and or 50-100 pull-ups.

In fact I've been down range for five weeks and I've yet to see someone do more than 15 pull-ups. I hope that answers your questions Gerald.
