Hi, I'm Specialist Matthew Davis from Union City, California and I'm answering a question from Leesia in Humble, Texas. She asks; "Can I communicate with my son during BCT? If so, how, phone or letters?"

Actually I've been able to do both. My son just turned five a week ago and I'm able to communicate with him with letters and through phone conversations. We usually get our phones about once a week and I'm able to talk to him for about 15 minutes to an hour depending on what the drill sergeant allow us to use.
