My name is Sergeant Caleb Fletcher. I'm a 19 Delta (19D) Cavalry Scout, born in Long Beach, California.

I joined the Army basically to see the world, experience life. I thought the Army would be a pretty cool thing to do. I got to do things I never thought I'd do. Go places and see things that the average person doesn't get to accomplish in their lifetime at all.

We were put on a lot of missions that were extremely dangerous, but all of it was a lot of fun. It was a lot of great experiences learned, a lot of things I've taken with me for the rest of my life, a lot of battle buddies and friends that I'll always keep dear and near to my heart.

When you actually get to get out there and you're riding on Blackhawks and you're shooting guns and blowing up stuff; it's amazing. I mean I get paid to blow stuff up. It's great. There couldn't be a better job in the world when you think in terms like that.
