“ My ROTC experience has opened doors for me, both professionally and personally. Not only has ROTC set me up for a great future, but also made me a more confident and competent leader. ”

Brandon F., Raleigh, NC

See how interesting college can be when you're a part of Army ROTC. You'll be a college student first and foremost, just like the rest of the student body, but there's a key difference: you'll have even more opportunities to succeed.

These opportunities include Field Training Exercises (FTXs) in the spring and fall where Cadets build their teamwork and leadership skills. Cadets also participate in Physical Training (PT) on a regular basis to keep up their strength and endurance.

In addition, each battalion has its own unique calendar of events and activities.

Being a member of the 49er Battalion

Will change you mentally and physically.  Your fears will be tested and conquered and your limits will be pushed.  It’s all part of a highly developed training program to produce and grow leaders for the U.S. Army.   ROTC will introduce you to a completely different kind of co-ed fraternity.  You will be a part of a group of individuals who hold themselves to a higher standard; former class presidents, athletic team captains, club founders and presidents, and members of scholastic honor societies.  In the end, the leader you have become will be a result of your hard work, commitment, and dedication.
