“ Every year, our cadets take part in a plethora of exciting and challenging events that build up our physical fitness, leadership abilities, and esprit de corps. ”

Rebecca Gant, Battalion XO,Spokane, WA

RANGER CHALLENGE

The Ranger Challenge is an opportunity for schools to "compete" with each other completing military tasks. In addition to a written examination where Cadets test their Army knowledge, there are physical fitness drills and field exercises. Battalions leave a Ranger Challenge with stronger bonds and sharper skills.

PERSHING RIFLES

The National Society of Pershing Rifles gives Army ROTC Cadets the opportunity to develop to the highest degree possible. Cadets can take part in precision trick rifle drill teams that provide them with the outstanding traits of leadership, military bearing and discipline.

Ranger Challenge

During Ranger Challenge training, cadets prepare for a three-dayinter-university competition, in which they compete in a myriad of events, suchas the Army Physical Fitness Test (APFT), Land Navigation, and the one-ropebridge river crossing technique.

Squad STX

During Squad Situational Training Exercises, cadets in the Lute Battalionare confronted with hypothetical, yet realistic, leadership situations thatchallenge them to employ quick thinking with the knowledge from their militaryscience instruction.

Commissioning Ceremony

In May of each year, MSIV (senior) cadets are commissioned into the UnitedStates Army as Second Lieutenants.  Families, friends, Universitypersonnel, and other highly distinguished guests come from around the US towitness their commissioning.
