“ ROTC has provided me with events that are not only fun, but challenge me both physicaly and mentally. ”

RANGER CHALLENGE

The Ranger Challenge is an opportunity for schools to "compete" with each other completing military tasks. In addition to a written examination where Cadets test their Army knowledge, there are physical fitness drills and field exercises. Battalions leave a Ranger Challenge with stronger bonds and sharper skills.

PERSHING RIFLES

The National Society of Pershing Rifles gives Army ROTC Cadets the opportunity to develop to the highest degree possible. Cadets can take part in precision trick rifle drill teams that provide them with the outstanding traits of leadership, military bearing and discipline.

Commissioning Ceremony

At the end of every semester, several cadets are commissioned into the United States Army during ceremonies held on campus.  Families, friends, University Presidents and other distinguished guests take part in the commisioning ceremony.

Bataan Memorial Death March

Every spring, Bataan Battalion Cadets help sponsor and compete in the Bataan Memorial Death March.  This grueling 26.2 mile run/march through the sand and desert of White Sands Missile Range is in honor of those brave servicemen who were forced to endure the real Bataan Death March in the Philippines during WWII.  Cadets who compete in this event gain a deeper appreciation for those who have served before them.
