“ The Gonzaga ROTC program has been vastly rewarding, I get to train and work alongside some of the best people I've ever had the privilege to meet, people who share the same values and have the same goals, people that I can admire and follow for their abilities and their characteristics. The Gonzaga ROTC program has been one of the best choices I've made academically. It's been rewarding in every aspect so far. The Bulldog Battalion is motivated and committed to becoming the best. It's given me leadership skills and it's given me multiple opportunities to do things and challenge myself in ways that many of my peers do not get to experience. I've repelled down a 90 foot cliff, rode on a UH-60 black hawk, and jumped out of C-130s at 1250 feet. ”

RANGER CHALLENGE

The Ranger Challenge is an opportunity for schools to "compete" with each other completing military tasks. In addition to a written examination where Cadets test their Army knowledge, there are physical fitness drills and field exercises. Battalions leave a Ranger Challenge with stronger bonds and sharper skills.

PERSHING RIFLES

The National Society of Pershing Rifles gives Army ROTC Cadets the opportunity to develop to the highest degree possible. Cadets can take part in precision trick rifle drill teams that provide them with the outstanding traits of leadership, military bearing and discipline.

Gonzaga Pilgrimage

Every year Cadets participate in the Gonzaga Pilgrimage. Bulldogs gather together for a weekend and focus on building themselves and creating better relationships with other students as well as focusing on building a better spiritual relationship with God. One of the benefits of the Bulldog Battalion is we are compiled of cadets from Gonzaga University and Whitworth University. Both of these schools have a rich religious heritage.

Sports

Gonzaga offers a slew of varsity division I sports that include cross country, basketball, volleyball, golf and more. There is also a host of intramural activities for everyone to enjoy like ultimate Frisbee, flag football, basketball, softball, and more. Activities are not exclusive to sports. Gonzaga has debate teams, science clubs, mock trial teams, young republicans and many other groups.
