Florida International University

The ROTC program in south Florida started back in 1972 at the University ofMiami. The program was relocated to Florida International University inJanuary 1996 and was officially activated on July 1, 1996. 

Florida International University currently has over 34,000 students andoffers more than 200 baccalaureate, masters and doctoral degree programs inmore than 280 majors. Its average cadet enrollment in the ROTC “GoldenPanthers” program is over 100 students. The program is also part of theHispanic Access Initiative established in fiscal year 03. The Battalionalso has 6 partnership schools: University of Miami; Florida AtlanticUniversity; Florida Memorial University; Miami Dade College and BrowardCommunity College.
