Lieutenant Tony Reinhard

I worked on Capital hill in Washington, D.C. for a member of congress from Michigan.

My name is 1st Lieutenant Tony Reinhard and I'm originally from Scottsdale, Arizona. My Army strong story is why I joined the Army actually in the inspiration for that. I worked on Capital hill in Washington, D.C. for a member of congress from Michigan. I was directly involved with the Army House Liaison Division. And they inspired me by taking my boss the member of congress on four different trips to Walter Reed Army Medical Center, to visit wounded warriors both from our district and from around the nation.
And that was an inspirational thing to me to see a double amputee returning from the war challenged both my boss and I to a rock-climbing wall which we knew we stood no chance of beating him in that. And then the Army Liaison office took us on Army Day to introduce to us hill staffers to what the Army did in a specific community where a base was. I got to go to Fort Rucker and experience Army Aviation. Learn all about it. And it wasn't long after, about 15 months that I joined the Army and became Army Strong.
