Hi, I’m Private Eric Frost, and I’m from Camden, Michigan, I’m about to graduate basic training.

Brandon from Glendale, Arizona sent us this question: “When you went to get recruited, what were the steps you had to take?”

Well Brandon, when I went to get recruited I called the 1-800 number, and they sent a recruiter to my house to talk to me. Now I had a rather good recruiter, when I talked to the recruiter he was very informative, and it’s on you to ask the questions. The more questions you ask, the better it will turn out for you.

And if you do decide to join he will take you to MEPS. And my recruiter did it a little different from most recruiters. Most recruiters will take you to MEPS, have you do the ASVAB, go to a hotel, spend the night, then go back and do your physical.

Me and my recruiter he took me I did the ASVAB, and then we went back; I went back home. He gave me time to think about what job I wanted. He gave me a print out, telling me how well I did on the ASVAB, and what jobs I was eligible for. Once I made my decision, I then got back with my recruiter. And then we went to MEPS, to do my physical and from there I picked my job. I got my sign in bonus, did all that and officially signed and joined the United States Army.
