Dr. Becky Hooper: The Center for the Intrepid is a rehab facility.

James, medical student: The Center for Intrepid was really amazing. The biggest thing that got to me was just the technology.

Lawrence, family practice resident: They have some equipment that they don't have anywhere else in the world.

James: The Army puts out some of the best technology and it's there for our use. Really amazing.

Alexander, medical student: The "walking down the street" simulator for someone who's just got a new prosthetic – that was really interesting and something you won't find anywhere else in the world. It was great to see.

James: The big simulator machine or the surfing rehabilitation techniques or the gate analysis system – it's the only one in the world.

Lawrence: I've seen civilian rehab centers and been in very nice ones, and they don't have anything like that stuff. That is beyond state of the art.

Alexander: It really showed the Army commitment to their Soldiers and rehabilitating to an extent where they can live functionally with their families. This tour really made me more comfortable with the Army. You saw that it's a world-class facility you're going to be working in, and the camaraderie that goes along with being part of the military.
