I couldn’t get the training that I’m getting in the Army Reserve, in the civilian sector.

Serving my country is very important to me because my mother served and I saw it as a civil duty. What I like about the Army Reserve is that you have the flexibility where you can do any MOS you want and you also have the chance to pursue a civilian career as well. The discussion with my wife before joining the Army Reserve initially didn’t go over too well, but after explaining the benefits as far as being closer to home and being stabilized for at least two years, she was sold on the idea of me joining the Army Reserve.
