“ There is a lot to do in ROTC, by the end of the year its hard to believe how much you’ve accomplished. ”

The Ranger Challenge is an opportunity for schools to "compete" with each other completing military tasks. In addition to a written examination where Cadets test their Army knowledge, there are physical fitness drills and field exercises. Battalions leave a Ranger Challenge with stronger bonds and sharper skills.

The National Society of Pershing Rifles gives Army ROTC Cadets the opportunity to develop to the highest degree possible. Cadets can take part in precision trick rifle drill teams that provide them with the outstanding traits of leadership, military bearing and discipline.

PT, Class, and Lab

Physical training is usually held at 6am MWF. PT conditions Cadets to bephysically fit and to meet and exceed the standard expected of officers.Military Science Class is where students will learn the techniques, theories, and protocol of being a Soldier and an officer. Lab is generally held Thursdayafternoon. During Lab Cadets will get a chance to put the knowledge they gainedin Class to practical use. Lab often involves hands on training out in thefield.

Field Training Exercises are weekend long excursions into the elements wherecadets are challenges in a simulated deployment environment demanding of themall they have practiced and learned.
