The Ranger Challenge is an opportunity for schools to "compete" with each other completing military tasks. In addition to a written examination where Cadets test their Army knowledge, there are physical fitness drills and field exercises. Battalions leave a Ranger Challenge with stronger bonds and sharper skills.

The National Society of Pershing Rifles gives Army ROTC Cadets the opportunity to develop to the highest degree possible. Cadets can take part in precision trick rifle drill teams that provide them with the outstanding traits of leadership, military bearing and discipline.

Cannon Detail

The Bobcat Battalion fires its 75mm pack howitzer on the field at each home football game when the Bobcats score. This brings a lot of excitement to the crowd!

The Bataan Memorial Death March

Every spring semester a team of our cadets trains for the Bataan Memorial Death March in White Sands, New Mexico, where they march through 26.2 miles of desert to honor the soldiers of World War II who were captured by the Japanese in defense of the Philippines.

Commissioning Ceremony

Every May, August and December we hold a formal ceremony in the Alkek Theater where each graduating cadet receives a commission as a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army, Army Reserve, or National Guard. Family and friends are encouraged to attend.
