Mohawk Battalion assembled its first long distance running team to compete in annual Army Ten Miler race, held in Washington DC. While there cadets had the opportunity to visit national landmarks.

See how interesting college can be when you're a part of Army ROTC. You'll be a college student first and foremost, just like the rest of the student body, but there's a key difference: you'll have even more opportunities to succeed.

These opportunities include Field Training Exercises (FTXs) in the spring and fall where Cadets build their teamwork and leadership skills. Cadets also participate in Physical Training (PT) on a regular basis to keep up their strength and endurance.

In addition, each battalion has its own unique calendar of events and activities.

Being a part of the Mohawk Battalion

means you'll be in the company of adiverse group of individuals with broad interests. Individuals who werepresidents of their student governments, captains of their varsity sportsteams, club presidents, or members of the National Honor Society. Your courseswill include Leadership Development, Military Skills and AdventureTraining.

 

Cadets around campus

are regular students just like everyoneelse on campus. They take a regular schedule of classes and have an academicmajor. Once a week they meet together as a group for leadership laboratory,along with their regular ROTC academic class meetings. During lab they wearmilitary uniforms and conduct military and leadership training. Students cantake ROTC as an elective course or pursue the entire program, which culminatesin a commission as a Second Lieutenant - an Army officer.
