Oregon State University’s Army ROTC program was established in 1872.

Oregon State University was establishedin 1858 as Corvallis College.  OSU Army ROTC was established in 1872.During WWI OSU Army ROTC became known as the “West Point of the West”, forcommissioning more officers than any other ROTC program in the country. Today OSU offers over 200 degree options; more then any other school in Oregonand is one of only two Universities in the nation to receive Land, Sea, Spaceand Sun Grants.  OSU is the leading source of commissions in Oregon; ourROTC graduates continue their proud history of dedicated service to the nation,while other cadets accept the challenges of the ROTC program as they prepare tobe tomorrow's leaders.  Our military friendly campus is the onlyUniversity in Oregon with all 3 ROTC programs; Army, Navy/Marines, and AirForce.
