![]() | Major Joe HoffmanRecruiting Operations Officer at OSU Army ROTCMajor Joe Hoffman began his military career by enlisting in the Armyin 1982 as Signal Intelligence Analyst. His enlisted assignments includeduty with the 104th Military Intelligence Battalion at Ft Carson, COand the 502nd Military Intelligence Battalion in Nuremberg,GE. He reached the rank of Sergeant before completing his four yearenlistment. In 1986 he joined the Oregon Army National Guard’s641st Military Intelligence Battalion in Salem, Oregon and enrolledat Oregon State University and Army ROTC. In 1988 he was commissioned asa Distinguished Military Graduate into the Active Duty Field Artillery. Hisofficer assignments include duty with the 5th Infantry Division atFt Polk, LA; 7th Infantry Division at Ft Ord, CA; 17thField Artillery Brigade Ft Sill, OK; 5th US Army at Ft Sam Houston,TX; Army ROTC at Texas A&M University in College Station, TX;24th Infantry Division at Ft Riley, KS and Fifth US ArmyHeadquarters at Ft Sam Houston, TX. He is currently assigned as theRecruiting Operations Officer at Oregon State University Army ROTC. Helives in Monmouth with his wife Sara and three children. |

![]() | CPT Mitch McCannCountry ChiefCPTMitch McCann was commissioned by the Beaver Battalion in June of 2002. Heremained at OSU as a Gold Bar Recruiter until attending Armor OBC at Ft. KnoxKentucky in November 2002. In April of 2003 he was assigned to the1st Cavalry Division at Ft. Hood, Texas where he served as the1st BCT Automations Officer and 2-8 CAV BN assistant S2 beforegetting his platoon (2/A/2-8CAV) in Oct 2003 where he did the first LowIntensity rotation to the NTC and a full year combat deployment to Baghdad(Sadr City) in support of OIF II. Following redeployment in March of 2005he became the 2-8 CAV Adjutant (S1) until his branch detail expired. Currently he is at Ft. Huachuca, Arizona attending the MI Captains CareerCourse and SIGINT Officers course prior to joining the 297th MI BNas a Country Chief at Ft. Gordon, Georgia. CPT McCann lives out of aduffle and has no wife or children. |

Sheattended the Military Police Officer Basic Course at Ft. Leonard Wood, MO inAugust 2003 and is currently stationed at Schofield Barracks, HI. She wasa Platoon Leader in the 58th MP Company “Workhorse” in BagramAfghanistan for OEF V from 2004-2005. She returned home from deploymentand became the 25th MP Battalion S-1. She is currentlyassigned to the 45th Sustainment Brigade and is deployed to Q-WestIraq in support of OIF-V and will return to Schofield Barracks HI in2007. |
