Captain Stanley B. Thompson III entered military service in August 1990 and attended Basic Training at Fort Knox, Ky. and Advanced Individual Training at Ft. Sam Houston, Tx. as a Medic.  He attended ROTC at Eastern Michigan University in 1998 and was commissioned in 2000. He has served as an Engineer Support Platoon Leader, Engineer Company Executive Officer, an EngineerPlanner, Administrative Officer and a Brigade Staff Officer.  He has been stationed at Ft. Riley, Ks., Ft. Lewis, Wa., MacDill AFB, Fl., one tour to Kuwait and one tour to Qatar and Iraq.
