Jen Wygant

Cadet

I’m currently a member of 2nd Platoon, CIC of Military Ball and a member of Ranger Challenge Team.  I’m on the varsityCC Running and CC Skiing teams.  I’m a Nursing major and I also work as aNurse’s Aid at Marquette General Hospital.  The reason I joined was that Iwas interested in military life and I needed to find a way to pay for school.  Plus the army offers great training opportunities/experiences for nurses.  My hobbies are: listening to music, rollerblading, camping, running, rollerskiing, watching movies, biking, and competitive cross country skiing.

Lekeisha Payton

Cadet

My name is Lekeisha Payton; I’m a sophomore political science major.  I just recently became a cadet.  I am a SMP cadet and I currently drill with the 334th Medical Group.  I joined ROTC because I knew that the program would make me a better soldier and a leader.  I also wanted to beable to control my own career and one day lead other soldiers.  My hobbies include sports, physical training, reading and listening to music.

Erik Campbell

Ranger Challenge Team Commander

I’m an International Studies major and I compete on the Men’s Club Track and Field team.  I am a SMP cadet with the 107th Engr. BN.  I joined the National Guard 2 years ago because I was offered a deployment to Egypt and was unfulfilled with graphic design at Michigan Tech University. After that taste of the active duty Army, I decided to pursue my goals concerning the military and joined NMU ROTC to become an Army officer.  I felt that the most opportunity and training would be there and I was right.  NMU ROTC hashelped me focus on my grades, my fitness, and my future.  My hobbies are exercise, all sports including ping-pong, trivia, and reading.
