LTC Robert Hilton

Professor of Military Science

LTC Robert D. Hilton Jr. entered the Army as an Airborne Infantry soldier in 1989. He served with the 101st Airborne AASLT Division 1st BDE in the Gulf War then the 101st Pathfinder Detachment. He was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army from the University of South Florida ROTC Program in 1998. He has served as a Logistics Officer in numerous assignments, as a Commander and Staff Officer and participated in operational deployments in support of Operations Enduring Freedom (OEF) 2008-2009 and again in 2012. He is married to the former Antoinette Lim Quee You and they have two children, Cory (15) and Kaitlyn (12).

LTC Robert D. Hilton is currently the Professor of Military Science (Army ROTC) at Morehead State University.

MSG David Osborne

Senior Military Instructor

MSG Osborne joined the Army in 1987 as MLRS Fire Direction Specialist. He has served in numerous locations and positions as a Field Artilleryman. He has participated in several operational deployments to include Operation Desert Storm (1991), Operation Joint Endeavour Bosnia (1997), Operation Iraqi Freedom (2003) and (2008-2009) and Operation New Dawn (2010-2011).

MSG Osborne is currently the Senior Military Instructor for the Department of Military Science (Army ROTC) at Morehead State University.

Mr. Farley Purvis

Recruiting and Retention Officer

A native of Bath County, KY, Farley Purvis graduated from Bath County High School in 1997. He served in the Kentucky Army National Guard from 1997 to 2006 as part of Company B, 206th Engineer Battalion in Carlisle, KY. In 2001 the unit transitioned into Battery B, 2/138th Field Artillery Battalion and mobilized in 2003 in support of Operation Noble Eagle III. Purvis attended OSUT (One Station Unit Training) at Fort Leonardwood, MO. in 1997.

Farley also served as an Owingsville Police Officer, Bath County Deputy Sheriff, Human Resources Assistant with the Kentucky Department of Military Affairs and a Security Guard with the Department of the Army, (Blue Grass Army Depot). He began his tenure with the Eagle Battalion at Morehead State University Army ROTC in February, 2008 as the Human Resources Technician, and is currently the Recruiting Operations Officer.

Mr. Mike Campbell

Supply Technician

Mike Campbell is from Battle Creek, MI, Mr. Campbell entered the Army in July of 1976 until July of 1980. He re-enlisted in March of 1981 until retirement in April of 2003 when he retired as a First Sergeant in Field Artillery. Mike now serves at the MSU ROTC Supply Technician.

Ms. Rhonda Chapman

Enrollment Specialist

Ms. Chapman has been a military wife for over 25 years. She also holds a masters degree in Education and has taught at the elementary and middle school levels. She is currently employed by Morehead State University as the Enrollment Specialist in the Military Science/ROTC department.
