“ Participating in Ranger Challenge was one of the most rewarding things I have ever done. The sense of accomplishment you feel when you reach the finish line for the ruck run is unbelievable. It makes all that extra training seem worthwhile. ”

RANGER CHALLENGE

The Ranger Challenge is an opportunity for schools to "compete" with each other completing military tasks. In addition to a written examination where Cadets test their Army knowledge, there are physical fitness drills and field exercises. Battalions leave a Ranger Challenge with stronger bonds and sharper skills.

PERSHING RIFLES

The National Society of Pershing Rifles gives Army ROTC Cadets the opportunity to develop to the highest degree possible. Cadets can take part in precision trick rifle drill teams that provide them with the outstanding traits of leadership, military bearing and discipline.

Cadet Band

The first Band was created Fall semester of 2009 showing the college and community the multitude of talent our Cadets have. They have played at school-related sporting events and represented the Maverick Battalion with pride.

Commissioning Ceremony

The final Chapter of your career as a Cadet, begins your career as an Officer. The last weekend of Spring semester you will celebrate your graduation from college, your commissioning as a 2nd Lieutenant at the Spring Commissioning Ceremony held at Gustavous Aldolphus College. Your entrance in the Army will be memorable at this special event.
