“ ROTC is an outstanding experience that allows me to learn and challenge myself both physically and mentally. It has provided a valuable experience that will help me out in the future. ”

RANGER CHALLENGE

The Ranger Challenge is an opportunity for schools to "compete" with each other completing military tasks. In addition to a written examination where Cadets test their Army knowledge, there are physical fitness drills and field exercises. Battalions leave a Ranger Challenge with stronger bonds and sharper skills.

PERSHING RIFLES

The National Society of Pershing Rifles gives Army ROTC Cadets the opportunity to develop to the highest degree possible. Cadets can take part in precision trick rifle drill teams that provide them with the outstanding traits of leadership, military bearing and discipline.

ROTC offers many opportunities to excel

In Army ROTC, it's not all classroom and field training. There are manyopportunities for you to bond with fellow cadets as well as increase yourskills in a variety of areas. Learn more about these events and activitiesbelow.

Staff rides

Once a semester, the cadets and staff take a weekend trip to a historicalsite, such as a battlefield. They learn about the strategic importance andhistory of the site. They also spend the rest of the weekend at events such ascookouts and informal dinners. A staff ride is an educational opportunity forcadets and staff, but more importantly, the fun social aspect buildscamaraderie and esprit de corps.
