“ I joined the Army ROTC program because I want to become a General one day in the United States Army. I’ve found the opportunity challenging and worth the effort. ”

Matthew McClendon, Vienna, Ga

RANGER CHALLENGE

The Ranger Challenge is an opportunity for schools to "compete" with each other completing military tasks. In addition to a written examination where Cadets test their Army knowledge, there are physical fitness drills and field exercises. Battalions leave a Ranger Challenge with stronger bonds and sharper skills.

PERSHING RIFLES

The National Society of Pershing Rifles gives Army ROTC Cadets the opportunity to develop to the highest degree possible. Cadets can take part in precision trick rifle drill teams that provide them with the outstanding traits of leadership, military bearing and discipline.

Wildcat Battalion Military Ball

To end the spring semester cadets will conduct a Military Ball.  They receive words of knowledge from a seasoned military Leader.  LTG Bostick was the guest speaker for the ball; Cadets had the opportunity to speak with the general after the formal portion of the Ball.

Ranger Challenge Team

Each year the Wildcat Battalion has a Ranger Challenge Team is an opportunity for schools to "compete" with each other completing military tasks. They perform at Land Navigation, Weapons, Obstacle Course and host of more events to challenge their knowledge and fitness. Battalions leave Ranger Challenge with stronger bonds and sharper skills.

Commissioning Ceremony

Each spring several cadets are commissioned into the United States Army during ceremonies held on each campus. Families, friends, University Presidents and other distinguished guests take part in the commisioning as well as the ceremonial Oath of Office.
