Cadets are preparing to depart for Fort Benning via Helio for the annual Brigade Field Training Exercise. The Wildcat Battalion strives to produce the finest officers for our force every year by providing them the military experience possible.

Members of the Wildcat Battalion are not only trained to lead but are prepared to be commissioned officers in the United States Army. Commissioned officers from the rank of Second Lieutenant to General Officers have trained and worked their way through the Wildcat Battalion.

Battalion History

In Keeping with the agreement of the Land Grant Act of 1862, a Military Science Department was established on the Fort Valley State College campus in the fall of 1956. Read more . . . . .
