EUP Cadets participate in a Field Leadership Reaction Course
Field Leadership Reaction courses are designed to instruct Cadets on how to execute problem solving skills and practice leadership among the squads.
![]() | LTC Marc BeckageProfessor of Military ScienceLieutenant Colonel Marc P. Beckage was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania. He was commissioned a Second Lieutenant and branched to the Infantry in July 1997, after serving as an enlisted Soldier in the Pennsylvania National Guard. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Scranton and a Master’s of Science in Management with a specialization in Army Operations and National Security from the University of Maryland University College. His military education includes the Infantry Officer Basic Course, Infantry Officer Advanced Course, Combined Arms and Service Staff School (CAS3), and Command and General Staff College (CGSC). LTC Beckage has held a variety of command and staff assignments to include his last assignment as an Executive Officer of the 2nd Brigade Combat Team at Fort Drum, New York. |
![]() | CPT Jeremy McCrillisAssistant Professor of Military ScienceCPT Jeremy J. McCrillis entered the United States Army in February of 2002 as a Petroleum Supply Specialist (92F) with the 1/112th PAARNG out of Erie, Pennsylvania. He commissioned as a 2LT in December 2004 through Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. His first duty assignment was Fort Hood, Texas where he was assigned to the 1st Cavalry Division, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 2-8 Cavalry as a Tank Platoon Leader. He deployed to Iraq for 15 months in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom from 2006 to 2008. Upon return from theater he immediately took command of the first Purple Heart Wounded Warrior Company in Army history at the Warrior Transition Unit at Fort Hood, Texas from 2008-2009. In May 2009 he reported to Fort Jackson, South Carolina for Adjutant General Captains Career Course. Upon graduating from AGCCC he reported to the 5th Armored Brigade, Division West, First Army at Fort Bliss, Texas where he was assigned as the Brigade S-1. His military education includes the Petroleum Supply Specialist Course, Armor Officer Basic Course, and Adjutant General Captains Career Course. His civilian education includes a Bachelor Degree from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania in Liberal Arts. His awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal-1 oak leaf cluster, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal-1 oak leaf cluster, Valorous Unit Award, National Defense Service Medal, Iraqi Campaign Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, and the Combat Action Badge. He is married to the former Ms. Kathryn Reichel and they have 1 child. |
![]() | Mr. Kevin M. FromknechtSenior Enrollment OfficerKevin Fromknecht, a native of Erie, Pennsylvania first enlisted into the PA Army National Guard in 1998. His first duty assignment was D Co. 1-110th Infantry, 28th Infantry Division (Mechanized). In 2002 he commissioned through Indiana University of PA ROTC as a Second Lieutenant and branched Aviation. He was then assigned to HHC 1-104th Attack Reconnaissance Battalion (ARB) in Johnstown, PA. Shortly thereafter, he attended flight school (Initial Entry Rotary Wing) at Fort Rucker, Alabama where he was trained and qualified in the TH-67 Bell Creek helicopter, the OH-58 Kiowa helicopter and in his advanced aircraft the AH-64 Apache helicopter. |
![]() | SFC Todd TagamiMilitary Science InstructorSFC Tagami entered the Army from El Paso, Texas in SEP 1998 and attended Basic and AIT at FT Benning, GA and was awarded the MOS 11C. SFC Tagami has held every position from Gunner to Platoon Sergeant in a Mortar Platoon. He has served with 60 mm, 81 mm and 120mm Mortar units in both Light and Heavy Infantry, Armor and Cavalry units. He has served as a Basic Officer Leader Course Phase II instructor at Ft. Sill, OK. His assignments include: 2nd Battalion 5th Infantry Regiment, Schofield Barracks, HI, 1st Battalion 67th Armor Regiment, Ft. Hood, TX, 1st Battalion 22nd Field Artillery Battalion (BOLC II) and 1st Battalion 13th Cavalry Regiment, Ft. Bliss, TX . He has deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. His military schooling and courses include: Combat Life Saver course, Air Assault Course, Primary Leadership Development Course, Advanced Leaders Course, Total Army Instructor Trainers Course, Modern Army Combatives Program Course Level 1 and 2, the Senior Leaders Course, Rappel Master Course, and the Company Intelligence Support Team Course. His awards and decorations include: The Bronze Star with oak leaf cluster, the Meritorious Service Medal with oak leaf cluster, the Army Commendation Medal with 4 oak leaf clusters, the Army Achievement Medal with 2 oak leaf clusters, the Valorous Unit Award, the Good conduct medal with 4 knots , the National Defense Service Medal , the Afghanistan Campaign Medal with star, the Iraq Campaign Medal with 5 bronze stars, the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal , the Global War on Terrorism Service medal, the NCO Professional Development ribbon with numeral 3, the Army Service Ribbon, the Overseas Service Ribbon with numeral 4, the NATO Medal, the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Expert Infantryman Badge, the Air Assault Badge. He has also been inducted into the Order of St Maurice and the Sergeant Audie Murphy Club. |
