MILITARY TRADITION & LINEAGE

Capital University Cadets and Families attend the annual Crusader ROTC Military Ball.

“ We have a wide variety of exciting activities that build battalion cohesion and provide excellent training. ”

Amber Tiller, Butler, OH

RANGER CHALLENGE

The Ranger Challenge is an opportunity for schools to "compete" with each other completing military tasks. In addition to a written examination where Cadets test their Army knowledge, there are physical fitness drills and field exercises. Battalions leave a Ranger Challenge with stronger bonds and sharper skills.

PERSHING RIFLES

The National Society of Pershing Rifles gives Army ROTC Cadets the opportunity to develop to the highest degree possible. Cadets can take part in precision trick rifle drill teams that provide them with the outstanding traits of leadership, military bearing and discipline.

Military Ball & Awards Ceremony

Each year, Cadets are participateing in social activities that celebrate the long traditions of the U.S. Army and prepare them for life as a military officer. One activity that is held is our Military Ball in which provides cadets an opportunity to bond with their peers in a professional setting. Cadets are recognized for their hard work at the annual awards ceremony.

Fundraising and other activities

The Battalion also conducts other activities such as fundraising that build teamwork and “esprit de corps.”  These activities are strictly voluntary.
