1LT Chris Redding

Executive Officer, HHT/2-14 CAV

"I Enlisted in 2000 as a combat medic, and served in the 349th CSH for several years and mobilized for Enduring Freedom at Landstuhl, Germany from 2004-2005, and subsequently served in El Salvador for Humanitarian Aid in '05 as well. I then joined ROTC in 2006 and commissioned May 2008. Initially I attended BOLC II, at Ft. Sill OK; then went to the Armor Officer Basic Course at Ft. Knox, KY. Subsequent training included the Army Reconnaissance Course and the Stryker Course also at Knox. My current duty station is Schofield Barracks, HI. My first duty assignment was as a Reconnaissance Platoon Leader for A/2-14 CAV. I took my scouts to India, and the National Training Center.  My current duty assignment is the XO for HHT/2-14 CAV, where we are set to deploy in June."

"I was admitted into CSUF AROTC program with a 4 year scholarship in 2005. During my stint at ROTC, I was given many opportunities to enroll in competitions and Army schools. During MSI year winter break I went to Airborne School, MSIII year summer I was flying helicopters at a Helicopter Flight Internship Program at UND, and MSIV year spring I was competing in the German Armed Forces Badge competition in Las Vegas. After commissioning as an Active Duty Aviation Officer from CSUF AROTC in 2009, I was admitted into flight school at Fort Rucker. My following duty station is dependent upon aircraft selection."
