Squad STX training

The Reserve Officer Training Corps was established at Boise State Universityon January 12th, 1977.  The objective of the Army’s ROTC program is toprovide the best scholars, athletes, and student leaders of the university,world class leadership training enabling them to become commissioned officersin the United States Army.  In 1978, 2LT Jerald Oaks became the firstofficer commissioned from Boise State.  Since its inception, Boise StateUniversity has commissioned 230 2nd Lieutenants into the United State Army,Army Reserve and National Guard in service to their country.
