ROTC alumni can attest to the fact that the skills they learned in ROTC have helped them throughout their careers in Army and civilian life.

Alumnus Williams

Class of 1995

Branch: Aviation
Major: Political Science

Alumnus Williams is an AH-64 Apache pilot serving as an instructor pilot at Fort Rucker, Alabama.

Alumnus Hebel

Class of 1999

Branch: Infantry
Major: Computer Science

Alumnus Hebel served as a Military Intelligence Officer before switching to Infantry. Upon graduation, he completed Ranger School and deployed to Afghanistan and Iraq as a member of the 101st Airborne Division. He is currently serving as the Assistant Professor of Military Science at the University of Tennessee at Martin.

Alumnus Blaise

Class of 2000

Branch: Transportation Corps
Major: Political Science

Alumnus Blaise was a U.S. Army Logistics Captain in the 101st Airborne Division and is currently serving with the Missouri National Guard. She is the author of the critically acclaimed book “The Heart of a Soldier”.

Alumnus Harless

Class of 2002

Branch: Aviation
Major: Psychology

Alumnus Harless served as a CH-47 Chinook pilot with the 101st Airborne Division in Iraq. He is currently assessing to join the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment.

Alumnus Deatrick

Class of 2003

Branch: Aviation
Major: Computer Science

Alumnus Deatrick is currently serving as a UH-60 Black Hawk pilot with the 101st Airborne Division. He served with 5th Special Forces Group before entering the ROTC program at Austin Peay State University.

Alumnus Deer

Class of 2003

Branch: Transportation Corps
Major: Business

Alumnus Deer has deployed to Kuwait as a Transportation Officer. He served as a company commander at Fort Bliss, TX and is currently serving as the assistant battalion S-3 with the 125th Brigade Support Battalion, 3-1 AD at Fort Bliss, Texas. His next assignment is at Fort Riley, Kansas.

Alumnus Taylor

Class of 2003

Major: Business

Alumnus Taylor has deployed to Afghanistan and is currently serving as a Battalion Signal Officer with the 25th Infantry Division at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. Taylor is pictured here standing with former Army Chief of Staff General Schoomaker.

Alumnus Hawkins

Class of 2003

Branch: Chemical Corps
Major: Agriculture

Alumnus Hawkins has deployed to Iraq with the 101st Airborne Division and is currently stationed at Fort Campbell, Kentucky.

Alumnus Mabry

Class of 2004

Branch: Medical Service Corps
Major: Sociology

Alumnus Mabry is currently serving as the Biomedical Systems Officer for Winn Army Community Hospital at Fort Stewart, Georgia. His previous assignment was with a Medical Evacuation (MEDEVAC) unit in the 101st Airborne Division while in Iraq.

Alumnus Rauschert

Major: Aviation Business Administration

Alumnus Rauschert served as an AH-64 Apache pilot with the 101st Airborne Division in Iraq. She is currently serving in the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment.

Alumnus Harrell

Class of 2005

Branch: Infantry
Major: History

Alumnus Harrell was an Army Ranger and Drill Sergeant before joining the ROTC program at Austin Peay State University. He is currently serving with the United Nations Command Honor Guard Company in South Korea.

Alumnus Knox

Class of 2006

2LT Knox deployed to Iraq with the 101st Aviation Brigade before enrolling in the ROTC program at Austin Peay. 2LT Knox is now serving as a vertical construction platoon leader with the 864th Engineer Combat Battalion (Heavy) at Fort Lewis, Washington.

Alumnus Roman

Major: Public Management

Alumnus Roman is currently serving as a Military Police Officer with the 3rd Infantry Division at Fort Stewart, Georgia.

Alumnus Turner

Class of 2006

Branch: Field Artillery
Major: History

Alumnus Turner deployed to Iraq with the 5th Special Forces Group prior to enrolling in ROTC at Austin Peay State University. He is currently serving with the 82nd Airborne Division.

Alumnus Spears

Class of 2007

Major: Engineering Technology

Alumnus Spears is set to become a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
