Auburn University Montgomery

Battalion History

Auburn University Montgomeryhas been a ROTC host institution since 1996 when the ROTC program separated from Auburn University.  It now compromises and extremely diverse student population with five partnerships schools and extends over 50 miles.  AUM facilitates ROTC at four schools in the Montgomery area which include, Alabama State University, Huntingdon College, Faulkner University and Troy University Montgomery. 

Troy Universityis the fifth partnership and is located 40 miles south of Montgomery in Troy, Alabama.   Troy University is a very strong traditional four year university with a NCAA Division I sports program.  Historically Troy has produced 50% of commissioned officers from AUM’s program.
