This school offers the following additional incentives to students taking Army ROTC :
  • Academic Credit for ROTC courses and offer a Military Science minor.
  • University annually provides alumni department scholarship.
  • Cadets have the option of choosing to live in the ROTC Living/Learning Community for their residence hall choice. This community allows cadets to live on the same floor of one residence hall together. The ROTC LLC is housed in Kamola Hall which is conveniently 100 meters from Lind Hall where the Army ROTC program office are housed.
  • $1500 per year Conflict Grant for cadets who are currently serving in the National Guard, Army Reserve or who are prior service active duty military veterans.
  • CWU boasts a remarkable small class sizes with the most classes having less than 24 students.
  • A monthly stipend of $420 per months for the 10 months a student is in school.
  • An annual book allowance of $1,200 per school year for cadets on scholarship.

  • All Army ROTC scholarship recipients receive a room and board scholarship from PLU worth approximately $7000.00 a year.
  • Green to Gold and SMP cadets may also utilize the Stone Education Center at nearby Fort Lewis, WA which offers low cost tuition options for its St Martin's, Chapman, and Pierce College extension center.

  • Married Army ROTC scholarship recipients who live off campus may also qualify for an additional living expenses stipend from PLU, based on need.

  • Students receive elective credit and a grade for all military science classes.
  • The new student tuition deposit of $200.00 is waived for all incoming ROTC scholarship awardees.
