This school offers the following additional incentives to students taking Army ROTC:
- University offers a minor in Military Science. Prior service cadets receive academic credit for their service. Twenty-six $750 room scholarships are awarded per year. Twelve $200 Leadership Scholarships are offered each year. The Alumni Memorial Scholarships fund offers $2,100 annually.

- In-state tuition for contracted cadets, Army National Guard and Army Reservists
- ROTC physical training satisfies the university's physical education requirement

- The Society of American Military Engineers provide two scholarships for ROTC cadets
