Army ROTC Scholarships

Scholarships and stipends from Army Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) allow you to focus on your education, instead of wondering how you’ll pay for it. You'll graduate with a respected and secure career path as an Army Officer, and without debt for the school years your scholarship covers.

You’re eligible to apply for ROTC scholarships if you’re a high school student enrolling in college, currently-enrolled college student, or an active enlisted Soldier.

Get the full college experience, all paid for, in exchange for a commitment to serve in the Army as an Officer after graduation.

• The full scholarships can be applied to any of the more than 1,000 participating schools
• You can receive part of the approximately $250 million in scholarships the Army awards each year
• Your achievements and grades determine if you’ll be awarded a scholarship, not your financial need

Your language skills can earn you even more through our Critical Language Incentive Pay program.

• Earn up to a $3,000 bonus if you study a language in college that matches one of the Army’s important language needs
• Get opportunities to study abroad and learn the language in a local setting while gaining important cultural skills that will set you apart when you graduate and become an Officer

Receive monthly stipends to offset costs of living.

• All scholarships include an extra $420 per month for the school year to use toward monthly expenses, like housing

To be accepted for any ROTC Scholarship, you must meet these standards:

• Be a U.S. citizen
• Be between the ages of 17 and 26
• Have a high school GPA of at least 2.50
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Score a minimum of 1000 on the SAT (math/verbal) or 19 on the ACT (excluding the required writing test scores)
• Pass the Army fitness test
• Meet the physical weight and height requirements
• Agree to accept a commission and serve in the Army on Active Duty or in Army Reserve or Army National Guard
