The U.S. Army shares a common goal with America's educators to motivate, educate, train and develop today's youth to be leaders, decision makers and citizen-contributors to achieve life-long success. Partnerships with educational organizations work to promote excellence in the education of all students and demonstrate the Army’s commitment to equipping our nation’s youth for future success.
Our Partners
The Army has forged collaborative partnerships with education and multicultural organizations to address education-related issues facing the nation. While the Army collaborates with several organizations, it holds key relationships with the following eight organizations that provide strategic opportunities to connect the Army with students and educators.
Partnerships have been formalized with organizations including the Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE), HOSA: Future Health Professionals, SkillsUSA, DECA, National Parent Teacher Association (PTA), National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP), National School Boards Association (NSBA) and the National FFA Organization to:
- Improve student readiness for post-secondary success
- Build a comprehensive understanding of career and technical choices for students
- Improve graduation rates, elevate the health and fitness levels of the nation’s young people
- Expand test preparation and career exploration/assessment resources for educators and students
- Increase educator understanding of the educational opportunities available to Soldiers and
- Collaborate on programs designed to increase awareness among students seeking higher education, career and leadership opportunities
These national partnerships create gateways for local Army representatives to connect with educators and students in their area. Advocates at these national organizations help the Army demonstrate its value to members and share Army best practices and learning through touch points such as specific events and activities.

ASSOCIATION FOR CAREER AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION (ACTE)
The Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE) is the nation’s largest not-for-profit association committed to the advancement of education that prepares youth and adults for successful careers.
ACTE represents the community of career and technical education professionals, including educators, administrators, researchers, guidance counselors and others at all levels of education. The Association is committed to excellence in providing advocacy, public awareness and access to resources, professional development and leadership opportunities.

DECA
DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe.
DECA Inc. is a not-for-profit student organization with members in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Canada, China, Germany, Great Britain, Guam, Mexico, Puerto Rico and Spain. The United States Congress, the United States Department of Education and state, district and international departments of education authorize DECA’s programs.

HOSA
HOSA is a national student organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Health Science Education Division of ACTE. HOSA's two-fold mission is to promote career opportunities in the health care industry and to enhance the delivery of quality health care to all people. HOSA's goal is to encourage all health occupations instructors and students to join and be actively involved in the HSE-HOSA Partnership.

NATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR SECONDARY SCHOOL PRINCIPALS (NASSP)
In existence since 1916, the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP) is the preeminent organization of and national voice for middle level and high school principals, assistant principals and aspiring school leaders from across the United States and more than 45 countries around the world. The mission of NASSP is to promote excellence in school leadership.

NATIONAL PARENT TEACHER ASSOCIATION (NATIONAL PTA)
Parent Teacher Association (PTA) comprises millions of families, students, teachers, administrators and business and community leaders devoted to the educational success of children and the promotion of parent involvement in schools. The overall purpose of PTA is to make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children.

NATIONAL SCHOOL BOARDS ASSOCIATION (NSBA)
National School Boards Association (NSBA) represents state school boards associations and their more than 90,000 local school board members. The mission of NSBA is to work with and through its state associations and NSBA Advocates for equity and excellence in public education through school board leadership. NSBA has an ambitious legal, federal, and public advocacy agenda poised to influence key federal legislative issues and help achieve its goals.

SKILLSUSA
SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers and industry working together to ensure America has a skilled workforce. SkillsUSA’s mission is to empower its members to become world-class workers, leaders and responsible American citizens.
SAY COMMITTEE
The Strengthening America’s Youth (SAY) Leadership Committee was established in 2010 to bring together a group of action-oriented leaders and organizations whose primary mission is to support and advance the success of students and young people across the United States. The committee participates in vigorous discussion and information-sharing about the challenges facing the nation’s youth including the crisis in education, childhood obesity, and workforce readiness.
With the help and support of the U.S. Army, which has long been a leader in developing young people, the SAY committee aligns the collective efforts of each partner organization in the area of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) skills awareness and leverages each other’s efforts through formal and informal activities. The U.S. Army is a leader and expert in STEM training, education, career opportunities, and development and must recruit a qualified All Volunteer Force equipped to deal with the complexities and requirements of the 21st century.
