Lt. Col. Sunny K. Mitchell

Sports Program, and the United States Army."

Army Reserve Lt. Col. Sunny K. Mitchell's passion for golf begin during her junior year in high school where Mitchell developed her golfing skill and won numerous tournaments. When Mitchell joined the Army she heard about the All-Army sports program and earned her place on the All-Army Golf Team.

In 2005, Mitchell won the All-Army Women's Division for the first time. Mitchell's golfing skills have placed her on the All-Army Golf Team 14 times and she has won her division seven times. Mitchell said, "When I accepted my ROTC scholarship in 1995, I never fathomed the phenomenal career opportunities that came with accepting the scholarship. Mitchell has been serving our nation for nearly 20 years and was the first female company commander for 1st Armor Training Brigade, Brigade HHC Company Command.
