Sgt. 1st Class Charles Franklin recently retired from the U.S. Army after 23 years of service. While in the Army, Franklin spent much of his personal time writing Christian fiction and with most of the writing behind him was able to publish his first novel within weeks of his retirement. Franklin's debut novel is a Selah Awards finalist and he is working on his third book. As an author, Franklin enjoys telling tales of adventure filled with faith and purpose. "I think society can sometimes be devoid of hope. That's why I write for--and my stories are about—the Giver of hope." Franklin said. Franklin continues to serve others as a teacher in his hometown in Texas.
