Sgt. 1st Class Brian Stoa serves in the Army Reserve as an Active Guard Reserve Recruiter. He is also a member of the Army’s American Skeet Team. “Being a part of the U.S. Army Reserve has been the most important decision I’ve ever made,” said Stoa. When he isn’t preparing, mentoring and qualifying future Soldiers through their candidacy process he is gearing up for the Armed Services Skeet Championships or the Grand American. Growing up in Blooming Prairie, Minnesota, Stoa enjoyed hunting, shooting and the outdoors and was shooting competitively in American Trap, American Skeet and Sporting Clays. Since 2008 he’s won over 163 trophies in the Amateur Trapshooting Association, National Skeet Shooting Association and National Sporting Clays Association, with most of his success in Trap Shooting. His 2019 titles include Alaska All State Team (Sporting Clays), Oklahoma State Class Champion (Trap) and Texas State 27yd Champion Non-Resident (Trap).
