I knew I wanted to be a sniper my whole life. As a sniper I shoot an M24. It shoots a range of 800 meters, shooter dependent. It shoots a 7.62-millimeter round.

As a shooter, I shoot a target around four or five hundred meters - about the size of a playing card. Pretty much I never miss.

In basic training you really learn who you are. To be a sniper, you need to be a motivated, dedicated soldier, and be sure that's really what you want to do. In the U.S. Army you can do anything. It's all up to how far you want to push yourself and in basic training you'll learn how far to push yourself because they'll help you do it.
