Many people think that deployed Soldiers are automatically sent to Iraq, Afghanistan or Kuwait. However, many Army Reserve Soldiers are activated in the U.S. to fill in for Active Duty Soldiers who are deployed overseas.

WHEN DUTY CALLS, ARMY RESERVE SOLDIERS ANSWER

As a Soldier in the Army Reserve, you may be called up to Active Duty service for limited periods of time. Whether deployed in the United States or overseas, Army Reserve Soldiers are expertly trained and physically and emotionally ready to serve.

The Army Reserve Soldiers of the 143rd Transportation Command answered the call of duty. Their experience in Kuwait supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom made them stronger and sharper as individuals and as a team. Watch as these Soldiers train, deploy and then return to their civilian lives having fulfilled an important duty to their country.
