WHAT IS A TYPICAL DAY ON POST?
When stationed in the U.S., your son or daughter can live on or off post. Single Soldiers must live on post, while married Soldiers have more options. Regardless of where a Soldier chooses to live, he or she will have access to post facilities, like gyms, stores, restaurants and other amenities.
An Army post is similar to any tight-knit community or small town. When your son or daughter is done with the day’s work, or training, he or she will be free to do whatever: workout, shop, do laundry, or go to a movie. Recreational activities designed to help Soldiers relax, have fun, and cultivate relationships within the Army community are a big feature at almost every Army installation.
