LEAD SOLDIERS WITHIN YOUR OCCUPATIONAL SPECIALITY

This course is an Army-job related course that teaches Sergeants in combat arms, combat support and combat service support. Basic Noncommissioned Officer Course (BNCOC) is conducted at locations specific to your Army job. Soldiers must complete BNCOC to be considered for promotion to Staff Sergeant.

Depending on your Army job, the course can take between two and nineteen weeks, with an average of nine weeks. A one-week common core, designed by the U.S. Army Sergeants Major Academy, supplements leadership training received at WLC.
