Sgt. Jeremy Teela

AGE: 33
HOMETOWN: Anchorage, Alaska
Event: Biathlon

Sgt. Jeremy Teela is no stranger to Olympic competition. Jeremy was a member of the 2002 and 2006 U.S. Olympic biathlon teams. In 2002, Jeremy finished in 14th Place in the Olympic Individual Competition which was the second best finish ever for the US in the Winter Games.

Sgt. John Napier

HOMETOWN: Schenectady, New York
Event: Bobsled

This might be Sgt. John Napier’s first Olympic appearance but he’s no stranger to the sport of bobsled. His father, Bill Napier was himself a bobsled driver for over two decades and his mother, Betsy also known to steer a bobsled while John was growing up. John started out in the junior leagues and has quickly climbed into the World Cup circuit and recently becoming the 2009 National Champion in the 2-man bobsled.

1st Lt. Christopher Fogt

AGE: 23
HOMETOWN: Alpine, Utah
Event: Bobsled
1st Lt. Christopher Fogt attended a bobsledding camp in 2007 and has been at the top level of the sport ever since. This year Chris makes his first Olympic appearance as a pusher on the four-man bobsled piloted by Sgt. John Napier. Before joining the WCAP program, Chris graduated from Utah Valley University with a degree in Business Management through the Army ROTC program.

Sgt. Mike Kohn

AGE: 37

HOMETOWN: Chantilly, Virginia 

Event: Bobsled

Sgt. Mike Kohn serves in the Virginia Army National Guard and a member of the National Guard Outstanding Athlete Program. Kohn joined the National Guard in 1999 as an Infantry Soldier. Mike will drive the Team USA III four-man sled.

AGE: 32

HOMETOWN: Orem, Utah

Event: Bobsled

Sgt. Shauna Rohbock of the Army National Guard Outstanding Athlete Program will pilot Team USA I sled. A 2006 Olympic silver medalist, Shauna is no stranger to Olympic competition. Shauna serves in the Utah Army National Guard and is currently a member of the National Guard Outstanding Athlete Program.

Sgt. William Tavares

HOMETOWN: Lake Placid, New York

Event: Bobsled Coach

Sgt. William “Bill” Tavares competed in luge for 10 years before turning his sights to coaching bobsled 14 years ago. This year marks the fourth consecutive Olympic Games that Bill has been selected as an Assistant Coach for the U.S. Olympic team. Bill is a member of the U.S. Army World Class Athlete Program (WCAP) and also serves as coordinator for all WCAP activities for the U.S. Bobsled Team.
