Being selected to participate in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl is an honor reserved for only the Nation’s most exceptional high school football players, as only the strongest wear the Army colors. As a U.S. Army All-American, these young men join the ranks of gridiron greats including Adrian Peterson, Mark Sanchez, Tim Tebow, Andrew Luck, Marcus Lattimore, Robert Woods and many other college and NFL stars. These young Americans have earned their selection by displaying some of the very same characteristics found in every Army Strong Soldier, on and off the field.

He excels while blocking, using his quickness and athleticism to get a jump on the opposition. Mayes takes the right angels when battling oncoming rushers and has the versatility to adjust when on the move. He finishes every play with attitude, something every coach loves to see. Mayes has the option to be a guard or a center at the next level.
