Army Events

Now in its sixth year, the U.S. Army All-American Marching Band returns to perform during halftime of the U.S. Army All-American Bowl. The U.S. Army All-American Marching Band features 125 of the finest high school senior marching musicians and color guard members from across the country.

The U.S. Army All-American Marching Band recognizes the Nation's leading high school band members. These young men and women demonstrate the U.S. Army core values of Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless Service, Honesty, Integrity and Personal Courage in their everyday lives. Like the U.S. Army All-American football players, the national selection of All-American band members is based on a broad range of attributes that go beyond performance and include qualities such as academic achievement, leadership abilities and community service.

Sheridan Markham has served as the flute section leader during the 2012-2013 school year. Aside from her musical accomplishments, she has attended leadership workshops, which have helped to strengthen her resolve to become a leader in her community. Sheridan has received superior ratings on both county and state levels for her proficient solo performances. She was accepted to the Interlochen Academy of the Arts summer camp. She has performed with world renowned pianist Mark Markham at a live performance is St. Petersburg, FL. She has participated in All County and All State bands as well as the USF Festival of winds for two years. Sheridan currently attends the Tarpon Springs HS Leadership Conservatory for the Arts where she has been developing her leadership skills and her musical talent.
