Army Events

Now in its sixth year, the U.S. Army All-American Marching Band returns to perform during halftime of the U.S. Army All-American Bowl. The U.S. Army All-American Marching Band features 125 of the finest high school senior marching musicians and color guard members from across the country.

The U.S. Army All-American Marching Band recognizes the Nation's leading high school band members. These young men and women demonstrate the U.S. Army core values of Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless Service, Honesty, Integrity and Personal Courage in their everyday lives. Like the U.S. Army All-American football players, the national selection of All-American band members is based on a broad range of attributes that go beyond performance and include qualities such as academic achievement, leadership abilities and community service.

Jhon has been in the music program of Elizabeth High School Upper Academy since 8th grade, participating in both concert band and jazz band. He plays the electric bass for the Elizabeth High School Marching Band, an undefeated USBands 5A State and National champion band for the past two seasons. He also plays the electric guitar for the high school's jazz band and won a best solo award in last year’s competition in Boston, Massachusetts. He also excels academically, with a GPA of 3.93.
