Joe Maggio

(Female announcer) We are here today to celebrate a talented student who has been selected to perform during half time of the nations premier high school sporting event the U.S. Army All-American Bowl.

Which will take place on January 5, 2013 at the Alamo Dome in San Antonio, Texas.

LTC Streater: Now it is my privilege and honor to announce that Joe Maggio has been selected as a 2013 U.S. Army All-American.

Joe Maggio: It means a lot to me, really. I started practicing tenors since freshman year, because it really, the drums are attracted to me, it was my passion to get at them. And it means a lot to me to make it. A lot of hard work paid off.

(Adult Male) Well Joe's a super talented percussionist; he also has a really strong drive. He practices hard; he's really intense on getting to where he wants to go with it.

Joe Maggio: Army Strong to me is the will and the power to like move on, really, it's just a will to succeed.

I'm very excited to march in the All-American Bowl and especially to meet the other members and drum-line. I'm honored to be selected and thank you for this opportunity and I can't wait to be in San Antonio, Texas.
