As a dermatologist and an Officer on the U.S. Army Health Care Team, you'll leverage the resources of one of the world's largest and most advanced health care organizations. Working with the latest technology and dedicated professionals, you can rapidly build your career without concerns about overhead costs and malpractice insurance premiums.

Requirements include:

  • Doctor of medicine or doctor of osteopathy degree from an accredited U.S. school of medicine or osteopathy; foreign graduates may apply if they have a permanent certificate from the Educational Commission of Foreign Medical Graduates
  • Current license to practice medicine in the United States, District of Columbia or Puerto Rico
  • Eligibility for board certification
  • Completion of at least one year of an approved Graduate Medical Education (GME) internship
  • Completion of a training program in dermatology
  • Must be between 21 and 42 years of age (may request a waiver)
  • Must be a U.S. citizen

army reserve dermatologist

You can enhance your dermatology practice by serving when needed. As a dermatologist and an Officer on the U.S. Army Reserve Health Care Team, you'll have access to the latest and most advanced treatments. Not only will you learn skills that you can utilize in your community practice, but you'll also discover the benefits of caring for our Soldiers and their Families.

Requirements include:

  • Doctor of medicine or doctor of osteopathy degree from an accredited U.S. school of medicine or osteopathy; foreign graduates may apply if they have a permanent certificate from the Educational Commission of Foreign Medical Graduates
  • Current license to practice medicine in the United States, District of Columbia or Puerto Rico
  • Eligibility for board certification
  • Completion of at least one year of an approved Graduate Medical Education (GME) internship
  • Completion of a training program in dermatology
  • Must be between 21 and 42 years of age (may request a waiver)
  • Permanent U.S. residency
