John Rudesheim talks about his experience at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl.

RUDESHEIM: Yeah, it was bitter cold this morning, but we had to push through, we had to get things done. We had to put all the drill down, so we just had to toughen up, and just get things done.
RUDESHEIM: Yeah, the drum line will definitely be ready for Saturday. The band also, they're a great group of players. So it's gonna be awesome we'll be ready, definitely.
RUDESHEIM: Oh yeah, this band is definitely like no other I've been in and like no other I've seen or witnessed, you know, this is the best group of high school musicians and everyone's striving for excellence and we're all trying to do our best, and that's a trait that we all have. I think that's why we're here. So it's definitely a very unique group and it's a good time. It's awesome.
RUDESHEIM: Yeah, I definitely learned a lot of new things from the mentor about the Army band. Just, I had not idea the traveling they do and the people they get to meet, and the opportunities that open up because they're in the Army band, you know. They played on the "Tonight Show" and they've met all these celebrities and done all these great things... and I really didn't know all about that.
RUDESHEIM: We're definitely showing the same characteristics that the core values say and explain to have. And it's very similar to the Army and these band members they're just doing great. They're really showing loyalty and all those things... and self-less service... we're all looking out for each other, so, yeah, it's like a big team, a big family.
RUDESHEIM: My name's John Rudesheim. You're watching my US Army All American Bowl Week experience. Check in tomorrow for the ever-important dress rehearsal.
